4/16/09 JV Meet Results

The young Matawan Harriers had a big breakthrough today at the second of our JV series meets. Almost every athlete who ran performed a personal best. Starting with the 400 meters, senior Will Alston sizzled the track with a season best time of 53.4 seconds. Also running the 400 included sophomore Marco Ferrara(59.8), Junior Steve Madden(61.1), and Freshmen Benny Monroe(63.8). All three athletes had performed season bests in the event. In the 1600, the Huskies were led by Junior Dhaval Shah who ran a 5:01 to take first in the race. Mr. Shah was followed by Junior Omar Emera who ran a 5:0, which is a 20 second personal best. Other members of the Huskies who ran a personal best in the event included Junior Evan Norwood with a time of 5:10 and inching closer to the 5:00 barrier, Junior Marc Nucum (5:18), Senior Mat Manglona (5:19), Junior Jake Weinberger (5:27), Freshmen Hugo Avelar(5:33), Freshmen Sean Driscoll (5:42), and Junior Steve Ramdial (5:55). Others in the event included Sophomore Mike Harris (5:28) and Junior Tom Murray (5:53). Keep up the Good Work Guys!!!!!!
